The Wisconsin Supreme Courtroom dominated Friday that the state’s widespread use of poll drop packing containers is illegitimate, delivering an enormous victory to election integrity activists and a stinging rebuke to state officers who had deployed the packing containers to main success within the 2020 election.
Within the court docket’s 4-3 ruling, the justices rebuked the Wisconsin Elections Fee for distributing the packing containers throughout the state, arguing that solely the Wisconsin Legislature had the authority to approve their use.
“Solely the legislature could allow absentee voting by way of poll drop packing containers,” the court docket stated within the ruling. “WEC can not. Poll drop packing containers seem nowhere within the detailed statutory system for absentee voting. WEC’s authorization of poll drop packing containers was illegal.”… (Read more)
