A sailor assigned to the plane service USS Carl Vinson was discovered useless on board the ship Sunday, the U.S. Navy stated.
The Navy’s press launch stated a sailor was found unresponsive whereas the ship was docked at Naval Air Station North Island, California.
Navy Area Southwest Federal Hearth Division responded to the scene and pronounced useless the sailor, whose id had not been introduced attributable to notification of subsequent of kin.
The Navy stated it was investigating the circumstances of the sailor’s dying and there have been no indications of suicide or foul play.
The usCarl Vinson, lead ship of the Carl Vinson Service Strike Group, returned to the California space on Feb. 14 after an eight-month deployment, in line with USNI Information’ Fleet Tracker.
Throughout the deployment, an F-35C Lightning II fight jet suffered a ramp strike on Jan. 24 leading to accidents for seven sailors. A photograph and video of the stealth fighter crashing into the South China Sea later surfaced on social media.
