Raymond Goulet died Monday on the Edgewood Centre in Portsmouth surrounded by his kids.
Goulet landed with the primary wave as a member of the First Infantry Division at Omaha Seaside, France, on June 6, 1944, on what later turned often called D-Day, a serious battle victory for Allied forces in World Conflict II.
He later labored as an Military tech sergeant in command of working a put up to help American troops. He joined the efforts of the “Crimson-Ball Specific” to ship meals, gasoline, ammunition, and different provides as Allied forces continued to advance on German forces, in accordance with an obituary written in his honor.
When he returned dwelling, Goulet labored within the electrical provide trade, spending 15 years every at Dyer-Clark Electrical Provide and Finberg Provide, each in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and Nelson M. Powell Electrical Provide in Haverhill, Massachusetts.
In line with the obituary, Goulet moved to New Hampshire in retirement to reside in “his beloved Portsmouth” and loved every day walks to Prescott Park.
